About The Event
Experience Wellness at South College
Welcome to South College's Wellness Day, dedicated to helping students find balance and relieve stress during finals week. We understand the challenges of this crucial time and are excited to offer a range of activities to help students unwind and recharge.
SESSION OFFERINGS
1. Yoga for Relaxation
Duration: 15-20 minutes
- Overview: Quick, calming yoga sessions designed to fit seamlessly into students' busy schedules. Each session focuses on breathing exercises and gentle stretches to alleviate tension and promote relaxation.
- Instructor: Noni, an experienced yoga teacher from iLive, specializes in mindfulness and stress relief techniques.
2. Art Therapy: Express & Destress
Duration: 15-20 minutes
- Overview: These brief sessions encourage students to explore their emotions through creative expression. Guided by a licensed art therapist, participants will create simple art pieces that help channel stress into creativity.
- Instructor: Bobbi, our amazing art instructor, brings years of experience in helping individuals find emotional balance through art
Special Offer: Paint and Peel Kits
- Description: Each kit contains a pre-made canvas with an adhesive outline, allowing students to paint and peel away their stress. The repetitive action of peeling and the satisfaction of completing a piece of art make this a unique, stress-relieving activity.
- Distribution: Kits can be handed out during the event, allowing students to take them home and enjoy at their own pace.
